Update, woah!

Yes, I'm still alive! You could say a lot has happened since my last journal though.

I've had a rough period, and very little motivation for anything basically. So it's been quiet here as well.

But on the other hand, I've taken up translating again. I started working on my old series (Erementar Gerad - Ao no Senki) again, and took up some new ones. (I'd recommend Hamatora and Real Account!!)

And I'm still a jobless bum... but I've started a job training course, so hopefully when that is over, I'll be able to get a decent job. I also stopped giving up on finding a job related to Japan. I decided I should try to follow my dreams as good as I can. \(°__°)/

Besides I've just been hired as a freelance translator for a Japanese company. (They're called 'Lapin' and do all kinds of translations - I'm working on mobile games.) So that's good! Hurray!

Winter isn't a very active time cosplay-wise, but as Spring started, so did the cosplaying. So far I've been to Tsunacon, Made in Asia, Antwerp Con, Kitacon and Japan Tag with the usual group. I finally did Phoenix Wright and Takagi (Bakuman)! *A*

Two characters I didn't think I'd do, but I'm very glad I got the chance~

At Kitacon and Japantag we also did Future versions and yukata versions of Kuroko no Basket respectively. It was fun! Plus, JapanTag had amazingly good weather <3

Next up are Dokomi in Dusseldorf (I hope to go both days but it might be only one cause I have a big translation job starting from tomorrow - so basically today I'm doing all kinds of things I won't have time to anymore later ), and Animecon in Den Haag.

Cosplaywise I'll be working like crazy on Ja'Far (Magi)  for Saturday on Dokokmi, and I might try to fix myself a Ratio (Hamatora) for Sunday. I'll also have to work on Henry (Fire Emblem) if I can, and I've also planned to do Suga (Haikyuu!!) with the group. (well all of those except Ratio are with the group... cause group cosplays are more fun~)

I'm really looking forward to these cons! Hope to see a lot of people again~

Do talk to me, even if I don't seem talkative. (>//v//<)

I suck at keeping things up to date. Sorry xDD

But then again, who reads this~ And still I'll write stuff. But not as much as I used to! And not with entertaining pictures, just plain old talk.

From 31/10 to 03/11 we went to Lucca comics in... Lucca, Italy.
In short, it was a great experience! We had lots of fun cosplaying (Shingeki, Fire Emblem, Tales of Symphonia and Kuroko no Basket) and meeting people. I was surprised by how many Italians spoke English (even though they claimed to be bad at it!) You guys are going good!

Lucca itself is special because the convention is in the city itself, and as long as you don't want to enter the dealer/event halls and rooms, it's free! We only discovered the most interesting parts of that later during the con, instead of on Thursday, when we DID buy a ticket. But we learned.

There are lots of beautiful locations for shoots and lots of people,  and photographers as well. And the level of cosplay was pretty good! Most of all, it was quite varied. And that's really nice to see, cause there were cosplays from all kinds of series~

I would really like to go back there next year (or to some other event in Italy!) if I can. ^____^

Animecon is out there. It's still a while away, but it's out there. People are starting on their contest costumes, guests are announced, and things are being planned. Next year we'll stay in the Novotel, that's good, and it'll be great.

But then there's this: the cosplay. I'm not sure what to do~ But I do know that I failed last year, and that I should level up. Cause if I can't feel good or be proud of what I made, cosplay is not worth it.

So I'll practice. And practice make-up. And buy a new sewing machine (not exacly needed, but rather desired. A failing machine can be quite annoying.).

...

And look for a job. And get a driver's license.

Normal like things. Urgh.

But the first con of next year is probably Tsunacon. Hurray~ xD

Hello all!

Abunai has been over for a while and I didn't write a report! D8

Either way, it has been fun! Me and ShamanRenji gave some cosplay panels and we always had a nice number of visitors *__* Thanks for joining us there! Without audience, panels couldn't work.

We cosplayed Shingeki no Kyojin twice, once in cleaning outifts on Friday and once in full outfit with 3D gear on Saturday~ Sunday we wore Kuroko no Basket.

On Friday we got changed once we got there, and tried to hang out a bit before the two of us had to go to the judging of the cosplay fashion show and EC preliminaries. It was a very fun and interesting experience to look at the contestants' costumes up close and get informed about how everything was made. In the end, KotoneCosplay won the EC preselection. She'll make a great representative for the Netherlands in London!

The downside was that we hadn't eaten properly yet and the judging took ages. We had about 15 minutes to rush to the buffet before the actual contest started... and I love buffets...  ;___;

On Saturday we had more time to hang around the convention, although wearing that gear doesn't make hanging very easy. We had a good time though, and we met an amazing photographer. He's someone who pays attention to things when taking pictures, and was kind enough to go shooting with us even if it was drizzling, and he let us use his fabulous umbrella to run back to the con xD

In the evening we changed to our cleaning versions again, because they're more comfy. We also judged the cosplay act compo, which was pretty good this year! Good job cosplayers, keep improving!

On Sunday we had a panel in the morning, and after that we needed to get our stuff from our room. We did get a late check-out from the staff, which has been very helpful, but we really spent a lot of time running around with stuff.
And so the convention was once again over way too soon. We had a nice closing talk with Shookie before we left, and that marked the end...

See you next year, Abunai!

And now for the planning.

:bulletyellow: 19-20/10: Facts (Belgium)
:bulletyellow: 30/10-3/11: Lucca Comics (Italy *___*)

That's it for now. This year. Planning for 2014 is something for later.

Planned cosplays (in no order):

:bulletblue: Henry (FE Awakening)
:bulletblue: Takagi Akito (Bakuman)
:bulletblue: Phoenix Wright (Ace Attorney)
:bulletblue: Ashiya Shiro (Hataraku Maou-sama!)
:bulletblue: Midorima Shintaro (KNB)

That's all for now. Who knows how long I won't post xD

OBJECTION. Time to re-use that journal style some time xD

So there. I'm back from Japan. Needless to say, it was awesome. Maybe I'll write a long journal or something more substantial about our (cosplay) experiences there (because there were, like omg.)

But no, I can't. Me and ShamanRenji are going to Abunai again as guests and we'll be giving some panels! Yaaaay! You should come!

Like last year, there will be a Basic Cosplay panel, Crossplay panel, Prop and Armour panel aaaannnnddd... a Cosplay in Japan panel!

It'll be interesting, I promise. xD

As for cosplay, we'll be doing Shingeki, Shingeki aaannnddd. Kuroko no Basket. No new cosplays because we didn't have time. At all xD

And unfortunately, after Abunai, it's back to normal life. Of looking for a job. And maybe I'll finally FINALLY upload something then. Of all the pics I have (there's not that many), there aren't all that many that I like. Damn my face D8

Oeuf.

Jaeger.

See you at Abunai!

Like, really.

Back from
Japan Expo. I had a great time there with my dear ShamanRenji and Zoustache. We left early on Thursday and arrived first at the wrong F1 hotel xD But we found the other one easily enough. Thursday we wore our Kuroko outfits, which was nice. It's a chill outfit to wear <3 On Friday me and Zoustache wore our Egypt YGO outfits again. Make up isn't amazing to wear when it gets warm, but we survived... pretty well.

On Saturday I wore the newly made Mikasa! Because Shingeki no Kyojin is epic. And ShamanRenji did Eren~ with 3DGear. Sadly, mine came loose on my way to the con so I ended up dumping them at the vestiaire. Maybe not such a bad thing, since it was wayyyy too crowded for those giant things. One pair was enough~ There were a lot of other Shingeki cosplayers that day! All hanging out around the giant Titan head xD We met a great Krista cosplayer from Germany there~  We also met some amazing people from Russia and saw a lot of people from the UK that we hadn't seen in a while ;__; I never remember what happened during what day so my reviews are messy.

It was really warm on Saturday though, and in the evening we visited
Paris for a short shoot. I forgot that paris was so pretty *___* We wanted to get nice food as well, but ended up at Mc Donalds cause we had to catch the last train back. It was a very tiring day...

Sunday the four of us wore Tales of Symphonia for a small group. Unfortunately, it was warm... too warm. So after a while we changed into Kuroko. A wise decision as it kept us alive during the rest of the day xD We also very  unexpectedly happened to meet the Cosmode guys again. I still don't know if they weren't there last year, or if we missed them.
But... we're going to
Japan soon. AHAHAHAHA. *cough*

Right! The days went by very fast. We also met great and sweet artists such as Lancha and her friend (need to find her!) and Gokunobaka. It was nice to talk to them~

Also. Before that, we went to Animecon. With the three of us. Because were the amazing Belgian convention team, or something. The entire first day was spent backstage, because me and Shamanrenji joined the CICAF competition. Zoustache was there the whole time to help us (carry stuff). Sorry! xD It was a fun although very stressful day. I've learned a lot (of which some things I already knew) during this... experience. But all in all, no regrets. ^^

Saturday and Sunday were much quieter days. We did Kuroko no Basuke and our GX Pirates. The idea was that we'd go to the beach for pictures but it was kinda cold and the beach was kinda far away. We had a great time at the convention though, and it was somewhat weird but very refreshing to have so many international guests there. We met the amazing Nico, saw our German friends again and met some new ones! This will definitely make going to German cons more interesting~ yay!

PLANSSSS

I am sorry for the word tornado!

Our next convention, with the entire group, is at Cosday this weekend in
Frankfurt!
The weather will be great! And it will be fun~ Definitely cosplaying Shingeki no Kyojin once, the rest is still uncertain.

The week after that we'll go to Atsusacon. It's the first time I'm going there, even though it's in
Belgium xD

And a few days after that, JAPAN. JAAAPAAAAANNNNN. Yes.

Me and ShamanRenji will be visiting the
WCS in Nagoya and Komiket in Tokyo. It'll be cool! And really warm. But amazing <3

I'll... upload some pictures after
Japan. I really have made a lot of cosplays but I don't always have good pictures and I can't photoshop so... bleh.
